RsWebParts 1.1 BETA

Posted in Reporting Services | SharePoint at Wednesday, October 20, 2004 11:13 AM Pacific Daylight Time

If you're interested in the RsWebParts I just uploaded the installer for the beta of the next version.

RsWebPart Workspace

See the news for the list of fixes and enhancements. This is a beta and so what I'm really looking for is feedback, suggestions, and most of all: bug reports. I'm sure there are going to be some since I put this together pretty quickly.

Update: Post any feedback you have here (or just reply to this post).

Can you/some one explain in detail, how double hop issue is, making you call reporting services web services, though client side script (rs.js)??

The issue is explained pretty well here:

<br>
<br>There are some possible workarounds, but it was by far the easiest to use client-side scripting.

I'd like to try out the webparts, but the GotDotNet workspace is inaccessible. :( When I click on the link in your article, all I get is the main page that says announcements.
<br>Is there another way to get your files?

It appears there is some kind of problem with the RsWebParts workspace. I've contacted the GotDotNet team to see if I can resolve it. I'll let you know when I get a response.
<br>
<br>If they don't fix it I'll move the project over to source forge.

Bryant,
<br>
<br>I posted on the Walkthrough page, but this seems more appropriate.
<br>
<br>I installed the Beta version to try to resolve the parameters issue I was having, but I'm still running into issues when I use a drop-down list of parameters.
<br>As soon as a value is selected, the report does not generate and no error message is returned. (However, it does work fine when the parameter is not validated against a list.)
<br>
<br>Any ideas?
<br>
<br>Thanks again for these parts.

hello...
<br>
<br>I have a report with dependent parameters.. When I select a value from the first parameter, the list of values on the second parameter doesn't changed.. Can anyone explain how can I fix this parameters issue? Is there a new version of RSWebparts that support parameter dependencies?
<br>
<br>thanks for help...
