IntelliType and IntelliPoint for Vista Released

Posted in Gadgets | Vista at Monday, December 11, 2006 3:59 AM Pacific Standard Time

via Tomas:

A new release of the IntelliPoint software for Microsoft Mice as well as the new Vista-compatible software for the MS Fingerprint reader is available now from the MS Hardware site. These were two of the updated set of drivers I was expecting since repaving my laptop with Vista.

You can download them now (which means this mouse now works great in Vista). The IntelliType software is also there. So if you emailed me asking me for the beta drivers, you can now get them.

Do you have any information regards the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 ??? I have one and near the END of the installation I receive a Bluetooth icon in my tray which I THEN can click AND get to the Motorola phone then located. BUT after that the 8000 asks for the software to download the software for the peripheral device AND I re-insert the disc which came with the Mouse.....then it tells me the required software is NOT on the disc and suggests I go to the Microsoft website where, of course, no such file or software exists. ONCE the software gets that far the little Bluetooth icon disappears and I have no way to get to the Motorola phone AND no way to get the devices recognized.

I think I will just crush the 8000 under my H2 wheels.
