Homemade Peltier Beer Cooler

I think I need to build myself one of these [via Engadget]:

Basically a drink holder attached to a cooling plate, a thermometer, and some batteries, this contraption cradles a pint glass and keeps your refreshment of choice chilly even in the hot sun.

Digital Photo Recovery

My mom called me this morning because she had a problem with her digital camera. She was previewing six photos and selected to “Delete All” thinking it would delete them all. It did delete them all, but also deleted all the other photos on her camera from the last six months. She wanted to know if there was anything I could do.

At first I couldn't think of anything but them I remembered reading about this very thing on Scott Hanselman's blog. So I did a little googling and came across this post by Scott. In the post he recommends Digital Picture Recovery. So I downloaded it and gave the demo a try. It found all the pictures so I purchased the full version and it was able to recover them all. My mom is very excited to have her photos back and I'm relieved. :)
